Project Description
Rigging International (RI), under contract to Bechtel Power Corp., proudly contributed to the successful completion of the first removal and replacement of the reactor vessel head, pressurizer and two steam generators in the same outage at a nuclear power plant in the United States.
RI’s scope of work included detailed engineering, design and fabrication of equipment, furnishing lifting and transport equipment, and provision of on-site engineering and supervision for the Nuclear Steam Supply System Refurbishment Project (NSSSRP) at Omaha Public Power District’s Fort Calhoun plant.
The work was completed without any safety incidents, under budget, and ahead of schedule.
